Summary-

((The show is commonly shorten to AnoHana so thats what I'll call it by.))

AnoHana is about six childhood friends who always hung out at their club house. One day, an unfortunate event occurred leading for one of the kids to her death. After that, they all drifted apart from each other. Jintan is one of the those kids. He became a hikikomori ((click it if you dont know what that means)) and dropped out of school. One day, he was able to see Menma again... Even though she was the one who died that horrible day. He has to fulfill her wish for her to go to heaven, but in order to fulfill that wish... He has to reunite all their childhood friends.

Comments-

Probably the 2nd most popular show of the spring 2011 season, the first being Ao no Exorcist which I might review another time. 

At first it might not impress you but keep watching, you'll get addicted ;D

I'm really shocked at the fact that this is an "anime only" kind of show. No light novel, no manga. That's rare in general. That equals less planning for the plot, less time for character designs, ect. And this show is EXTREMELY impressive without knowing that. AnoHana is an superb tragedy as well as a slice of life. I highly recommend <3
